Jay Janzen’s Santa Fe Kansas Division

The Kansas Division is a free-lanced depiction of the ATSF across central Kansas somewhat around 1970. The model portion runs from Walton westward to Dodge City through Newton and Halstead, towns of my childhood. The layout is has a double deck with helix and third level staging track plan. Operations are run under Rule 261 with trackside signals, using JMRI operations and Panel Pro dispatcher’s panel. There is computerized staging using JMRI Dispatcher. Through freight and passenger trains serve Newton and Sand Creek Yard. Locals serve online industries east and west out of Newton. There are 13 steps to the basement without a duckunder.
